All the things! Whether you are a solopreneur, or an entrepreneur running a small business, I am sure you can relate. From the start, we are passionate about the main things, but there are all those other things that keep jostling you out of your state of flow. Am I right?
Identify your processes
Take some time to think through and list out the processes that make up the moving parts of your business. Accounting, Client Management, Scheduling, Reporting… Which of these processes are flowing and which of them are clogging up your system? Circle the processes that need a little ironing out.
Review your processes
What does this birds eye view of listing out your processes tell you? Did you circle none, a couple, all of them? Maybe a few small tweaks would unclog some sludgy pipes, or maybe you need a complete overhaul. You may feel the need to redo and start from scratch. All businesses go through cycles and we find ourselves in need of change as we round those new twists and turns.
The new tool I am using to uplevel my business processes
There are a plethora of new tools and advancements in the realm of business processes since I started my business in 2007. Sooooo….many options. I started out with pen & paper workflows and loved my system, until I started using Trello as my workflow management tool. And I’ve loved Trello, but I wanted to get more of my systems into one place.
Enter….Dubsado. I recently started using a new CRM / workflow management system called Dubsado and though I haven’t used it long, I can already tell that this is a game changer. If you know me, you know that I love to share when I find something that I think is great, and this is one of those things!
Keep it Simple
Dubsado is an online system that allows me to have my workflows, contracts, tasks, scheduling, invoicing, and so much more in ONE place. AND, it provides automation along the way that saves so much time. This is important to me not only because it will allow me to spend more time on the parts of the business that I am passionate about, but also because it will uplevel the experience I can offer my clients.
If you decide to give it a try, let me know what you think!
If you saw my post about getting my own headshot done, you know there are 3 other small reasons that I love saving time on my processes too. Hint, they are ages 9, 7 and 4. 😉
