Red Cross Hero Recognized
Theresa Adams became a Berks County hero during the COVID pandemic by sewing masks during the initial shortage of PPE for frontline workers. She has sewn thousands of masks! She also helped administer vaccines at Berks County clinics. As a long time nurse, care worker and leader who has trained many others in the field, Theresa couldn’t stand by and watch so many in the profession struggle without lending a hand. She rose to the occasion. At the 17th annual Red Cross Berks County Heroes Breakfast, Theresa Adams was recognized for her efforts.
A Photo for a Caring Berks County Hero
Theresa’s headshot was an important part of the recognition ceremony. It appeared in the program for the event, was included in the ceremony broadcast, and was used in channel 69’s News feature covering the story. With all the exposure that her headshot would receive, we wanted to make sure that it portrayed her well. When we learned her story, we knew that her photo needed to be one that conveyed her caring heart and the brightness of her personality. Theresa was pleased to share the final photo.
