Cybersecurity is top of mind for both individuals and businesses today. Most people know the risk is there and make an effort to create secure passwords, keep an eye on their financial accounts for strange activity, and verify links before clicking them. But that’s not always enough.
In an interview in financial newsletter Crain Currency, Ben Tercha of Omega Systems shed some light on current cybersecurity issues. Omega is a provider of managed IT and security services based in Berks County, Pennsylvania.
“There’s this assumption […] that it’s not going to happen to me, right?” Tercha notes.

Almost half of family offices worldwide, and over half of those in North America, have experienced a cyber attack in the last two years, according to a recent cybersecurity study. 25% experienced three or more attacks. The risk is serious. And keeping your data and financial resources safe is more challenging than ever as scammers improve their scams with AI technology.
It’s great to know there are companies out there like Omega Systems, doing their best to keep people and businesses secure from cyber threats of all kinds. They work hard staying up-to-date on the most current security issues and types of attacks.
Omega Systems recognizes the importance of the human connection, both internally and in external communications such as interviews and social media posts. The company provides headshots for its employees. They had multiple images of Ben ready to go so that they could provide one to the interviewer for use with the article, and use another in their social post sharing the article.
